And, if this were not enough, they are the two teams who, on the 3rd of June in Cardiff, will contest the Champions League final.

Real Madrid ended their five-year wait for La Liga title on Sunday as Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema scored in a 2-0 win at Malaga, clinching a 33rd league triumph.

Real needed just a point to wrap up the title and raced into the lead when Ronaldo scored in the second minute, ensuring the champions scored in every league game of the season.

Benzema wrapped up the win early in the second half. Real finished the campaign on 93 points after a sixth straight league win. Last year’s champions Barcelona finished second on 90 points

They were partying on the streets of Madrid until the early hours.

Manager Zinedine Zidane described winning La Liga as the best day of his life. The club head to Cardiff aiming to win the club’s first league and European Cup double since 1958

Juventus became the first team to win Serie A six times in a row when they beat Crotone 3-0 on Sunday to clinch the title with one game to spare. Mario Mandzukic, Paulo Dybala, with a stunning free kick, and Alex Sandro shared the goals as the Turin side also won a league and cup double for the third time in a row and remain on course for a treble.

Juve’s win took them four clear of AS Roma who won 5-3 at Chievo on Saturday.

Napoli are a further point behind in third, the Champions League playoff spot.

While there were celebrations on the streets of Turin, There was no Madrid-style party. Juventus say they will celebrate their win after the Champions League title, when they are hoping to have three trophy’s on display

Juventus, who are Italy’s most successful side in domestic terms with 33 league titles, will face the La Liga champions in Cardiff where they will attempt to win the Champions League for the third time after victories in 1985 and 1996.
